Timelapse Painting

Hey there!   Looks like if you want any updates from my world, you'll have to tune into Retro Affect instead.   I've been busy up keeping that site, and working on like 3 game projects at the same time.

I recently did a time lapse of a painting in photoshop for my current project Snapshot.   It's pretty awesome, so you should probably/definitely check that out.

In the mean time, I know I mentioned this before, but I'll mention it again:   visit Retro Affect to get the scoop on what I'm currently doing.   I just don't have the time or the energy to push more updates to here lately.   Plus the back end system I coded on this site is now... lets see.. yeah, 5 years old.   I need to think up a new website soon and retire this one.

2009 Time

It's a new year!   Time for new beginnings, and for me it was time to try to get back into an art form that I haven't seen in a long time.   It's a new wallpaper that uses a lot of my old 3d abstract methods.   I think I've come a pretty long way from when I started out.

2009 will be the year of me making more games I hope.   I'm working on Verge and turning into a full length game, I also have plans for a few other short games if I can manage.   It doesn't look like Ye Olde Ostrich in Crazyland is going to be finished any time soon due to it's Multimedia Fusion origins.   I might pick it back up in Game Maker if I find the time, but for now it's on hold.

I have a few more bigger projects that I hope I can talk about in the future, but for now everything is top secret.   I got a shiny Macbook Pro for Christmas, and I'm going to be starting up with Unity pretty soon and I'm super excited about that.   Hopefully I can make even more awesome games that aren't limited to 2d and 320 x 240 resolution with it.   That's it for now, Happy New Year!

Characters Again!

Here's the finished piece of my two characters.   It didn't take me as long as I thought it would to finish up.

Some Drawin's

Some more work on the game idea I've been tossing around a little bit.   Here are two potential characters!

This is still a rough sketch of the two, I'll be going back to add flashier color and a nifty background.   I really hope I get to make this game beyond the bounds of Multimedia Fusion.

Oh, and here are some pixels to go with it.

More as this develops!

Pixel Art

Now that a new month has begun, I'll get back into posting a lot more.   I've been spending a lot of time designing some screen shot mock ups of the next game I want to create.   This will be my next huge project, probably bigger than Bonesaw!   So, we'll see what happens.   I'm still trying to learn my way around programming, and real game engines, so that I can make a game without any limitations.

Anyway, here's a peek at what I've been working on:

What's the game about?   Oh you might be able to guess from that shot, but all the details are still under wraps.

Iceland Photos

I got back from Iceland last week and on my journeys I made sure to take quite a bit of photos.   For now here are some of the pictures I have on the internets.   You can check out the full flickr set here if desired.

That's all for now!

Paint the Mona Lisa

I'm going to be heading off for awhile, so this will be my last post for August.   I just finished putting together some new pieces of my PC, so I'm now running on a Core 2 Quad q6600, with a cooler motherboard and 4gb of ram to go with it.   I'm always incredibly afraid that something is going to blow up whenever I put together a computer, but so far everything is running fine-- until I overclock!

Now the point of this post is this video of the Mythbusters painting the Mona Lisa with a lot of paintball guns.   Check it out:

I have no further comments, just take in the awesomeness.
