Mad World for Wii
Now heres something that has come out of absolutely nowhere.
This looks like it came out of the mind of Suda51, but don't be fooled, its from Platinum Games. It's really good to see developers exploring all realms of the Wii. I think the Wii is the only system out there that you're going to see both a fitness game and a hyper violent bloody mess game at the same time.
It's not just the hyper violence that makes the game appealing, but they're actually doing something interesting with the visuals. The one thing I appreciate about the Wii are the graphical limitations of the system. Developers will think of more unique and original ideas when working within limitations. I mean look at Portal, they were working in the limitations of a small team, and they ended up making a short but sweet game that captured the hearts of players across the globe.
It's nice to be reminded that in main stream video games its possible for more than the color brown to exist.

WARNING OF TL;DR WARNING
The ideas are what I like. Interesting, risky, new ideas. Things that try things new are not always the best things, but they are the loved ones. This may not be too new, but it is a large step forward for the Wii. It steps away form all the mini games, enters the hard-core, and then transcends that.
In other words, I like it.

Right, I mean chainsaws and death traps (and caution signs through the head?) may not be new ideas, but the game's whole visual style looks like pretty unexplored space. Hopefully all those casual gamers are going to start paying attention to gems like this.
